The county’s strongest men and women geared up to compete in a special contest at Lakeside Village this summer in a bid to be crowned Man Beasts Yorkshire’s Strongest Man and Woman 2024.

The powerful performers showed off amazing demonstrations of strength by deadlifting, lifting logs and shifting giant sand bags at the one-off special event. Congratulations to Josh Lancaster for being crowned Man Beast Yorkshire’s Strongest Man 2024 and to Michaela Pearson for being crowned Man Beast Yorkshire’s Strongest Woman 204.

Event Categories

The event featured four categories for competitors with up to 10 strongmen and women in each: a Novice section for beginners, Under 105kg/16.6 stone in bodyweight, the main Open category with no bodyweight limit, and Women’s, a new category this year.

The competition was be refereed by the UK’s Strongest Man Paul Smith and event director, and two times Guinness World Record Holder Mark Anglesea from Man Beast Strongman events.

The incredible event was free to attend with spectators and shoppers meet and greets with the athletes and posing for strongman and strongwomen selfies.
