More than 400 million tonnes of plastic is produced every year, half of which is designed to be used only once. Of that, less than 10% is recycled. An estimated 19-23 million tonnes end up in lakes, rivers and seas.

Skopes have kick started their sustainability journey by collaborating with Lyfcycle – an ethical, sustainable clothing manufacturer headquartered in the UK – to create a collection of well-fitting, timeless suits made from recycled cloths. Did you know at least 45 recycled plastic bottles go into Lyfcycle suits and shirts?
Tala Beeswax Sandwich & Snack Bag:
Cook n Dine are stocking the Tala Beeswax Wraps that are hand crafted organic cotton sheets, with 100% natural ingredients which have been sustainably harvested. They are perfect for replacing traditional plastic sandwich bags and cling film to provide a truly natural substitute to single-use plastic.
Zero Waste Packaging:
The Body Shop are committed to tackling the plastic crisis differently. They have started using their Community Trade recycled plastic in their 250ml Shampoo and Conditioner bottles. Currently, more than 68% of their packaging can technically be recycled. By 2025, all of Body Shop’s bath, body and haircare products will be fully recyclable.
Use Less Plastic:
By switching to fabric bags for bed linens Christy’s have drastically reduced their waste plastic. Transit bags are now made of 100% recycled material and they double as reusable storage bags too!
Helme and Kearton Padded Jackets:
‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. It’s a mantra Tog24 live by but if there’s something better you better use it. Recycled Polyester is commonly made from melting down post-consumer PET which is often found as plastic bottles. This helps to divert plastic bottles from ending up in landfill, minimising soil contamination, air and water pollution.
