We often forget what we have on our doorstep, and Doncaster has some great places to visit and get active.

If you’ve never visited Aquapark Doncaster or if you’ve not been for a while, it is well worth the short trip to have some water-based fun this summer!

Where is Aquapark Doncaster?

Only a 20-minute drive from the centre of Doncaster, Aquapark Doncaster is part of Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre where you can take part in activities for all the family. You can book now for activities throughout the summer.

What can you do?

Those looking to banish boredom can take part in canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and even open water swimming at the centre, run by Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust (DCLT).

Available activities include stand up paddleboarding on the lake, where you can challenge your balance and experience the tranquillity of gliding across the water.

Boat and craft hire is also available, including a katakanu family canoe, large enough for six people.

Aquapark Doncaster

Families just love the floating inflatable Aquapark at Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre.

The fun water attraction, which challenges visitors to slide, climb and make a splash on an obstacle course featuring climbing walls, slides, runways, and a giant blast bag, is a firm favourite with those looking to make a real splash!

The Aquapark opens from 10am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays and will be open daily for the summer season from Monday, July 18.

Michele Parnham, general manager of Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre, said: “Kids and families love Aquapark and we can’t wait to welcome them back to slip and slide on the course and make the most of this fun attraction.

“With the weather getting warmer, this is a great opportunity to get out on the lake and enjoy a unique family experience on the edge of Doncaster.”

Sessions for Aquapark last 60 minutes including a 10-minute compulsory safety briefing. The price is £16 when booked online in advance and £18 for on-site bookings on the day. Wetsuits and buoyancy aids are provided free of charge.

Participants must be over the age of seven, able to swim and a height of at least 122cm. Children aged seven to nine must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Free on-site parking is available.

You can make a mini break of it!

Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre has a family friendly a campsite with spacious all-electric pitches and an on-site shop, café bar and laundrette.

Visitors can enjoy a mini break, with a two night minimum stay, and responsible dog owners are welcome.

It is only a 10-minute stroll to the town of Hatfield, which has a mini-market, bakery, restaurants and pubs. Other pursuits, from golf and hiking to fun daytrips are also easily accessible.
