As the summer holidays get fully underway, Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping is gearing up for an exciting Rhino Week from Monday 5 August to Sunday 11 August. This special event is part of our ongoing Wildlife Discovery activities in partnership with Yorkshire Wildlife Park, and it couldn’t come at a more fitting time.
Earlier this year, Yorkshire Wildlife Park welcomed a new addition to their rhino family – baby Rocco, a rare Eastern Black Rhino. This birth has sparked a crucial fundraising campaign to help save this endangered species, whose numbers have dwindled to fewer than 1,000 in the wild.
During Rhino Week, we invite you to join us in celebrating these magnificent creatures while supporting vital conservation efforts.

Join us on Saturday, August 10th, for rhino-themed stories and crafts.

Add some extra fun to your visit with our popular mini-golf course.
- Educational Fact Boards
Learn fascinating information about rhinos and their conservation.
While you’re having fun, remember that your visit can make a real difference. The Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s charity, the WildLife Foundation is raising funds to support rhino conservation efforts, including the care of Bella, a young rhino calf at the Ol Jogi Conservancy in Kenya. Bella’s story of survival and recovery is a testament to the importance of these conservation efforts.
