Christmas 2023 Cash for Kids

Visitors to Santa at Lakeside Village in Doncaster have helped to raise a whopping £2,630 for Cash For Kids’ annual Mission Christmas appeal.

The nationwide Cash for Kids initiative aims to ensure every child from 0-18 wakes up to a gift on Christmas morning.

Lakeside Village Shopping Outlet’s Santa’s Grotto was free of charge over the festive period but visitors were asked for a suggested donation of £2 which went straight to the worthwhile cause.

In addition, the centre was a collection point where customers could drop off their own gifts for the charity.

Abby Chandler from Lakeside Village said:

“We are always so grateful to our loyal customers who every year help us with our numerous charity activities. And this Christmas was no different as they helped us raise this wonderful amount of money to help children and families across our region who need some extra help and support. Thank you to everyone who visited our Santa’s Grotto and donated or dropped off gifts for such as great cause.”

Lisa Sullivan from Hallam FM’s Cash for Kids said

“We are so grateful to everyone who has visited the Santa’s grotto at Lakeside Village and donated gifts or money. The grand total of £2,630 is such an amazing amount to us and we can’t thank you all enough. A big thank you too to everyone at Lakeside Village for choosing us as their charity. We are so proud to say Mission Christmas 2023 helped 18,010 local children who were at risk of receiving nothing without our help.”
