New Guide Dog Update: Bingo
Back in January, we were thrilled to welcome Bingo, the new guide dog Lakeside Village has sponsored. As we recently received an update on how 8-month-old Bingo is doing, we thought we would share with you some key updates.
Over the past month, Bingo has made some top progress. He is especially talented in the art of patiently waiting for food (probably the most impressive) and going for adventures in the car (especially if he knows he is going for a long walk).
He takes pride in his appearance and loves being brushed; the perfect pamper session.
Bingo is excellent at classic commands such as ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’ etc. whereas after a long day he sometimes doesn’t want to stand up (relatable to many of us I’m sure).
He is very sociable and has many friends, although sometimes he gets a little too hyper around humans and can be wary of noisy trains.
Bingo is currently settling in nicely with his local Guide Dogs boarder. He is happy, confident, and doesn’t seem phased.
Thanks to your donations and support Bingo is looking forward to becoming an incredible guide dog, allowing freedom and independence to someone with sight loss.
Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind. When someone loses their sight, Guide Dogs is there to make sure they don’t lose their freedom as well. Guide Dogs rely on donations to continue their life-changing work. Every pound raised makes a difference to people in the UK living with sight loss.
