Visitors to Lakeside Village Shopping Outlet will be in for fun and games throughout the school summer holidays.
Indoor fun including large sized Connect Four and Jenga games and floor games from Hopscotch to Noughts and Crosses will be available every day at the centre from Thursday July 28.
The fun really begins on Saturday July 30 when with the launch of the Summer Sports Heroes where customers will be able to battle it out to be top of the leader board in three core challenges: the Egg and Spoon Olympics – the race to see who can get most eggs safely over the finish line in one minute, the Paper Plate Discus – the contest to see who can throw the furthest and the Bean Bag Bucket Trial – the test to see who can get the most bean bags in the bucket in a minute.
Di Mellis, centre manager at Lakeside Village said: “We cannot wait for our summer of fun and games to start and watch as people start to rise up our Summer Sports Heroes leader board.
“Our free family fun will run throughout the summer holidays with indoor games available every day in our Ping Pong unit and special activities happening every Saturday and some Sundays.
“As we well as the three sports hero challenges we’ll also be hosting a mix of Space Hopper Races, Hula Hoop Challenges, Obstacle course tasks, Football keepy uppy, one legged races and skipping contests.
“We’ve also linked up with local sports, dance and music clubs to put on extra events throughout the week.
“Cre8ive Dance Academy will be with us on Thursday August 4, 11, 18 and 25 running workshops in street dance and cheerleading.
“All that Jazz dance school with also be joining us on August 19, 23 and 24.

“Our popular Thursday free summer cinema is back and this year we’ll be showing two films each Thursday kicking off on August 4 with Encanto at 3.30pm and Mama Mia at 6pm.

Saturdays at the centre will see crafting and games alongside special visits from Kixx, a Strongman Challenge and a trampoline day.
