Ahead of this weekend’s Doncaster Half Marathan we wanted to share with you a blog from our friends at Curly’s Athletics about how amazing running can be.
With the event due to take place on Sunday, June 12, there is still time for some last minute training!
Many people will already know how running can benefit you physically; from strengthening muscles to increasing bone density and helping to regulate weight.
It’s also great for:
1) Helping you to sleep better (just make sure you don’t exercise too late at night, as this will raise your body temperature!)
2) Helps to keep your joints mobile
3) Supports heart health
4) Improves mental health by releasing endorphins
5) Reduces anxiety symptoms
With so many benefits, it’s not hard to see why running has become more popular in recent years and all you need is a pair of trainers to start!
