Students from specialist college will set up stall at Lakeside Village this weekend

Students and staff from Communication Specialist College Doncaster (CSCD) are taking their Enterprise Store on the road and setting up stall at Lakeside Village this weekend (Saturday 15 May).
The group, who make the goods for the college’s on-site Enterprise Store, will be at the centre selling their wooden handmade planters, garden products and ornaments.
Stacey Betts, assistant principal at CSCD said: “Our students and staff are really looking forward to taking the products to Lakeside Village this weekend.
“They have such lovely customers and always get great feedback on the things they have made. IT is great for them to get out and about as we’ve not been able to have visitors on site for a while due to the pandemic, so it is a good way for people to be able to access the fantastic products our talented students have made.”
CSCD is part of Doncaster Deaf Trust and works with students with communication difficulties including those who are Deaf, hard of hearing or have autism.
Di Rodgers, centre manager at Lakeside Village said: “We are looking forward to welcoming the team from Communication Specialist College to Lakeside Village this weekend.
“The products that they make and sell are lovely and we know that our customers always enjoy visiting their stall.”
