Shoppers are being invited to bring their pet to Lakeside Village to pose for a professional photo and raise money for charity this Bank Holiday (May 31).
The Paws for Fun Day pet photographer will snap canine charm and pampered pooches to officially launch the yearlong partnership between Lakeside Village and Guide Dogs.
The event, on Bank Holiday Monday will invite customers to bring their friendly pets for a professional photo for a donation towards a new guide dog puppy.
Di Rodgers, centre manager said: “As a dog friendly site we are used to seeing four legged furry friends on the shopping mall every day but on Monday May 31 we’re inviting people to bring their pet for a photo shoot with a professional photographer to officially launch our partnership.
“We launched our fundraising campaign back in January but as we’ve only recently been able to reopen retail this will be our first event on site.
“As well as the photo shoot, that will take place between 11am and 3pm, there will dog themed activities throughout the day.”
It wouldn’t be a Lakeside Village Spring bank without the seaside board for fun photos and crazy golf for all the family.
“We’re also launching our new dog refuelling station with dog bowls and seating on site as we know how much dog lovers enjoy bringing them with them to the centre as they shop.”
The partnership with Guide Dogs will run until the end of December 2021 and the Lakeside Village team are hoping to raise the £5,000 needed to sponsor a Guide Dog Puppy.
“We’ve raised money for Guide Dog’s since 2010 and this will be the seventh puppy that we will have sponsored. Our customers are very generous with donations and we always get them involved in naming the pup.
“We’re creating a special wall in our Guest Services area to show details of the pups we have sponsored in the past and there will be a pup-o-meter to show the progress of our current fundraising.”
If you want to get a photo of your pet that shows them off at their best visit the centre between 11am and 3pm. Recommended donation of £5.
