‘Everyday hero’ wins Lakeside Village voucher

A special woman has today walked away with a £200 Lakeside Village shopping voucher after being nominated by her mum for going above and beyond to help others this year.
Stephanie Tinkler, from Scawthorpe, was put forward by her mum Ange, from Balby, for the centre’s Win it Wednesday competition which was on the hunt to treat our ‘everyday heroes’.
Ange said: “I am so proud of Stephanie. She is an NHS nurse who has worked really long hours during the covid crisis. But on top of that she has a young family to look after as well and has also found the time to shop for her elderly grandparents who have been in isolation.
“I am so pleased she won as she really deserves it.”
Stephanie added: “I am really pleased to win this voucher as it will definitely be a nice treat. I’m not sure what to spend it on as yet so will enjoy a good browse round Lakeside Village! Thank you to mum and the centre for the voucher, it’s great.”
Di Rodgers, centre manager at Lakeside Village, said: “We are thrilled to present Stephanie with a £200 voucher to spend here at Lakeside Village. It is plain to see how proud her mum is of what she has done over the last few months and I’m so pleased she can treat herself to something special.
“She may not want to admit it, but she is definitely an everyday hero to us! Well done Stephanie, you’re an inspiration.”
