Join us as we celebrate Children’s Hospice Week by turning Lakeside Village a vibrant hue of purple

You, our lovely customers voted for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice to be our charity of the year and we’ve decided to start off our year of super fun fundraising with a purple party.
We’ve teamed up with our fantastic stores to create a purple flow throughout the village. Shop windows, purple, staff dressed in purple, columns and balloons, purple and customers, please feel free to come dressed in purple!
The amazing charity gave us a tour around the children’s hospice and we were left speechless, the service they offer is truly humbling but they manage to make the setting a fun, vibrant place for the children and their families – that visit has made us more determined than ever to raise as much money as possible for them and we need your help to do it.
Raising awareness of Children’s Hospice Week is so important. These places are often run without any official funding and rely on donations from the public. This annual fundraising and awareness week is for children with life-shortening conditions and their families and the palliative care services that support them.
So we will be out with our buckets on May 20 ahead of the official launch of Children’s Hospice Week on May 22 and our stores will dress their windows with purple products, our staff will don purple wigs, purple clothes and purple make up. Lakeside Village will be a sea of purple for the week.
Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice cares for children and young adults with life shortening conditions and complex medical needs. They support children and families across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and North Lincolnshire, looking after children and young people up to the age of 25 and providing a wide range of support services for all family members throughout their life journey.
We will be holding a number of fundraising activities throughout the week and our stores have collection tins and buckets to help us raise vital funds for this fantastic local hospice that is dedicated to creating very special, lasting memories for families. Come and join us, dress yourself in purple, send us a snap of you shopping at the centre and be in with a chance of winning a purple hamper of goodies.
Together we’ll help to make a difference
