Almost 50,000 shoppers have visited Doncaster’s Lakeside Village in the first week of reopening as lockdown restrictions are eased.
Customers returning to the centre were welcomed with discounts and offers from many of the big name stores including M&S, Next, Gap and Clarks.
Di Rodgers, centre manager said: “We have been so happy to see our stores reopen and our shoppers returning to the centre.
“We’ve put lots of measures in place to ensure that people feel safe shopping at Lakeside Village and the fact that we are an outdoor centre has really helped with that.

“Seeing family and friends meeting up for a coffee on our benches and picnic tables has been great and the sunshine has also meant that there were lots of smiling faces.
“Staff at our stores were thrilled to be back at work and it has been fabulous to see so many people rediscovering the joys of shopping.”

“Sandy’s brow bar styled 300 sets of eyebrows in our re opening week and M&S sold more than 700 pairs of knickers!

“Our homeware stores are stocked with beautiful spring/ summer patterns and products and have seen lots of customers who want to refresh their living areas, after so much time indoors!
