The launch of Bedeck of Belfast’s inaugural collection

Tuesday 17th December 2019

The launch of Bedeck of Belfast celebrates the heritage of the city’s linen history and its trading routes. It’s inaugural A/W 19 collection is inspired by India and ‘namaste’, the respectful Hindu greeting. This homage is a balanced combination of earthy colours, intricate craftsmanship and traditional printing techniques, re-interpreted for the contemporary home.
Kuja

The simple stripe is elevated with the Kuja collection. With simple spice inspired, muted colours of ochre, ivory, tangerine, marsala and olive, this elegant design is perfected with an olive printed stitch pattern quilt and two complementary cushion designs.
Amaya

With a bold but intricate pattern reminiscent of Mughal opulence, Amaya is complex and layered, while at the same time, pleasing and balanced. The charcoal and ivory is complemented with a deep, rich maroon piping, a decorative quilt with maroon detailing and a complete range of complementary quilts and cushions.
Agra

A landscape of geometric tiles form this jacquard weave, created using a blend of techniques made popular in the 15th Century. By hand dying the fabric with earth and ochre hues, Agra is both rustic and structured. A knitted throw in a chunky basket weave with a rib knit hem, finishes this look with a flourish of warmth.
Suri

This sophisticated stripe is full of spirit from another era that’s been brought up to date with a bold, contemporary colour palette of greys and contrasting chartreuse. A cotton voile quilt in plain charcoal and two different cushion stylings frame this look perfectly.
