Lakeside launches new charity of the year appeal

Thursday 15th March 2018

Last year Lakeside Village supported Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and raised a whopping £20,000 for the charity following a successful public led competition to decide the chosen charity.
Working with one charity as our chosen charity for the year has worked really well for us. It has meant that we could focus our fundraising efforts and work hard to raise lots of money to make a real difference.
So we are asking people from across the region again to help us to choose which charity we should be raising money for, this is open to all charities.
We’ll then collect all the suggestions and narrow it down to a top three which will then be put out for a public vote. The winner will be officially named as our chosen charity for 2018 and we’ll put plans in place to help them as much as we can, by raising money and giving our time to support them throughout the year.
Anyone can nominate a charity that is close to their heart to give it a chance of being Lakeside Village’s 2018 charity of the year.
Nominations are via Lakeside Village’s Facebook page and are open until 29 March.
